ERIC DUQUETTE Northeast Elite Program Director Years Coaching Gymnastics: 15 National and International Coaching Experience Certified National Level Coach

Eric Duquette was born and raised in Rhode Island, where he began coaching at the age of 15 while training as a gymnast himself. After graduating Boston University in 2001, Eric endured a two-year stint in Canada where he worked at Sport Seneca, the most prestigious elite gymnastics training center in Canada.  While at Sports Seneca, Eric played an important part in the daily training of many elite gymnasts. Among these gymnasts are:

• 2 World Championship Competitors

• 3 Olympic Trials Competitors

• 8 Full-scholarship Division I Athletes

• 4 Canadian National Champions (Junior/Senior Elite)

• Numerous National Team Members (Junior/Senior Elite)

Eric is certified as a National Level Coach through National Coaching Certification Program in Canada.  Eric was also given the honor of being named as the head coach of the National Elite Pre-Novice Team at the Eastern Canadian Team Championships in 2003.

Since returning to the United States in 2005, Eric has coached:

• 1 Junior Pre-Elite

• 3 TOPs National Team Members

• 1 TOPs Diamond Level National Team Member

• 6 TOPs B Camp Invitees

Eric has also coached numerous Rhode Island state and regional champions and national qualifiers. Since coming to New Jersey in 2007, Eric has coached six state all around champions and several individual event champions, setting six New Jersey state records along the way. Last year, Eric had 3 TOPs National Team Members, 1 TOPs Diamond Level National Team Member, and 1 TOPs B Camp Invitee.
